TSMA 2020 Annual Meeting:
TSMA Strategy Session
Each year, TSMA board members gather for a half-day retreat for the purpose of looking back (past success, missed opportunities, etc.) and looking ahead. The annual planning session culminates with an outline of Goals and Objectives, a document intended to drive board and staff decision making for the coming 12 months. In preparation for the 2020 TSMA Board Retreat, we'd like your input.
- Meet Your Board Members
- 2019 Highlights and Stats
- 2019 Financial Recap
- 2019 Member of the Year Award
- 2019 Collaborator of the Year Award
Please take the time to join us on February 4 - take in two manufacturing tours, check out the new Outstate Brewing Company, and lend your voice to TSMA's plans for the future!
Tour TWO companies:
- Does TSMA meet your expectations as a membership organization?
- Where do we shine? Where could we do better?
- Do you feel engaged and informed, or do you find current communication efforts to be lacking?
- Do we offer the right number of networking opportunities? Or, the right quantity, but not the right format?
- Current benefit programs encompass healthcare, workers comp, accepting credit card payments, and HR services. What other programs would you like us to explore?
West Tool & Design / West Tool Enclosures
Don Westra founded West Tool & Design in 1990 to be a supplier of fixtures and machine tools to the electronics industry. The company quickly diversified into a supplier of parts, machines and systems to customers serving diverse markets such the mechanical equipment, aviation and medical device industries. They can support high-mix, low volume custom fabrication requirements.
In 2009 West Tool & Design purchased and began producing custom-sizable UL listed enclosures through a fabrication facility in Battle Lake, Minnesota. That business became West Tool Enclosures in 2012 and is now owned by Glen Westra.
Evan Westra began operating West Tool & Design after Don’s retirement in 2009 and became the owner in 2014. The commitment to excellence is as strong as ever. West Tool & Design will continue to provide value to our customers through solutions to manufacturing needs with system design and build, precision components, fabrications, and assemblies.
Due to West Tool & Design’s strong growth in enclosures and junction boxes, West Tool Enclosures, Inc. became a separate company in 2012. Located in close proximity to West Tool & Design, both companies are under guidance of the next generation of the Westra family and the commitment to excellence is as strong as ever.
