    AMFA is governed by a 13-member board; these volunteers are elected from the membership to serve a staggered two-year term.
    Wade Karnes
    AMFA President

    Wade was elected to the AMFA Board in 2017, and serves as Board President.  Wade is Chair of the Education Committee, and also serves on the Finance, Marketing/Membership, FabTech, and ET Grant Review committees.  Wade is the President of Cast & Color LLC/Zakobe LLC located in Bovey, MN.

    Ian was elected to the AMFA Board in 2014, and serves as Board Vice President. Ian also serves on the Marketing/Membership, Government Affairs, FabTech, and ET Beer Social committees.  Ian works in Business Development for APEX located in Duluth, MN.

    Jill was elected to the AMFA Board in 2020, immediately taking on the role of AMFA Secretary.   She is also Chair of the Marketing/Membership committee and a serves on the ET Beer Social committee. Jill is an Environmental Scientist/Project Manager at Bay West LLC located in St. Paul, MN. 
    Mary Brandt

    Mary Brandt has served as an AMFA or AMFA ET Board member since 2008, providing an important link to post-secondary education.  More importantly, Mary's active involvement serves as a bedrock for numerous AMFA programs and activities.  Mary serves as AMFA Treasurer and as Chair of the Program Committee. She also serves on the Education, FabTech, ET Golf Social and ET Legacy Fund committees.

    Bill was elected to the AMFA Board in 2012.   He serves as President of AMFA Educational Trust and Chair of both the ET Grant Review and Legacy Fund Committees.  Bill is also a member of the Finance and Education Committees. Bill is the owner of W.C. Gundersen & Associates located in Duluth, MN.

    Todd was elected to the AMFA Board in 2012.   Todd is Chair of the ET Golf Social Committee and serves on the Programs Committee.   He also serves as Vice President of AMFA Educational Trust.  Todd is employed at Productivity, Inc., working in Sales, Tooling & Accessories from an office in Two Harbors, MN.

    Jeremy was elected to the AMFA Board in 2013.  He is Secretary/Treasurer of AMFA Educational Trust, and serves on the Government Affairs and Programs Committees.  Jeremy served as President of AMFA from 2015 to 2017.  He is the Production Manager of Machining at RMS Tritec, LLC located in Virginia, MN.

    Jim was elected to the AMFA Board in 2015, serving as AMFA President in 2018 and 2019.  He is Chair of the ET Beer Social Committee.  Jim also serves on the Finance, Marketing/Membership, Programs, FabTech, and ET Grant Review Committees. Jim works in Industrial Business Development for Northern Engineering located in Superior, MN.

    Brad was elected to the AMFA Board in 2016, and serves on the Education, ET Grant Review, and ET Legacy Fund Committees. Brad is the Dean of Business and Industry at Lake Superior College located in Duluth, MN. 
    Sandy Kashmark

    Midwest Manufacturers Association - AMFA
    Sandy Kashmark started her career with TSMA as Administrative Assistant in 1991, not long after receiving a business degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead.  She has served as Executive Director since 1995.  The office changed to a new business model when Midwest Manufacturers Association was launched in 1991.  MMA, the "central office," now serves AMFA, CMMA and TSMA, with Kashmark at the helm.
